Brescia is a town in the north of Italy, located in the region of Lombardy between Milan and Verona. This historic city has got well established public transport links for the convinience of the people. So moving around in Brescia is not at all a problem. The centre of Brescia has got many historic squares and lanes which are better if explored on foot. Do keep a map or a guidebook to understand the lanes of this ancient city. Brescia has got its own small Airport called Aeroporto Gabriele d'Annunzio. This airport is located at Montichiari, to the south-east of town, near Lake Garda. Brescia is also well-connected by train, being on the main railway line which runs Milan - Brescia - Verona - Vicenza - Padua - Venice.

Museo della Citta - This museum is also known as the "Museo di Santa Giulia". The museum houses an extensive collection of local exhibits, with archaeological finds and collections from all periods of Brescia's past. It is situated in a monastery complex of Santa Giulia.
Duomo Vecchio - Also known as the Rotonda, this is the ancient church in the square in Piazza Paolo VI. A new and improved version of the church was built near to it and the older one was also kept untouched. This is an opportunity to explore the difference between the forms of architecture of both monasteries. The nearby successor of this church is the Duomo Nuovo.
Piazza della Vittoria - This is a large piazza of the fascist era. Most of the part of this square is used as the parking place for vehicles.
Piazza della Loggia - This is the prettiest square of all. The clock tower or the Torre dell'Orologio is famous here.
Castello - Towards the Colle Cidneo hill is situated this Castle which was built on Roman foundations and is now housing a museum. This museum exhibits weaponry of the Italian Risorgimento.
Pinacoteca Tosio Martinengo - This gallery to the south-east of the centre is the best to explore the works by Raphael, Lorenzo Lotto and Tintoretto, as well as many local artists.
